About the Artist

My name is Raeqa but also known to my close friends and family as Nuha. I am a first generation Bangladeshi-American who has always had a passion to create. It’s something I’ve loved to do for as long as I can remember. Art has always been a fun and playful form of expression for me. However, over the years, this passion began to offer me more than I could have ever imagined.
Art is all about perspective, expressing your own and a means to understand that of others. My work and my artistic journey has pushed me to grow not only as an artist but also person. I have learned new skills, more about the world around me and who I am. Aesthetics by Nuha gives me a platform me to give a voice to others like myself through art and more. I hope you can find a piece of yourself in my artwork, but more importantly that it leaves you with a smile.
I graduated from Stony Brook University with a B.S. in Biochemistry and a minor in Studio Art. As I am an artist, I am also an aspiring physician. I am currently in the process of completing a M.S. in Medical Healthcare Simulation and will be attending medical school next fall! As with art, I have also always had a passion for medicine. In an effort to combine these passions of mine and give back to my community, I founded a non-profit organization called Doodles4Change Inc. in 2017. The mission of this organization is to medically support underprivileged individuals in underserved communities, both local and global, through creative means. A percentage of proceeds from the sales of my artwork and commissions go directly to the cause, helping us fund surgical procedures, medication and more.
